About Ron

Cadillac Ron Rakow was an inside member of the Grateful Dead family beginning in 1967 in the legendary Haight Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco.

While working in the music business he also carried a camera with him everywhere he went. Through his lens, we have 800 never before seen color slides and a few hundred B&W images of the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, and other cultural icons and events of the time.
