About Jeffrey

Jeffrey Price had travel in his bones, and rock and roll in his soul.  At 15, he took a Trailways bus to San Francisco and landed on Haight St. at the peak of the Summer of Love! He saw Janis Joplin and The Grateful Dead and was inspired to pick up a camera shortly after.

Back home in CT there were great concerts happening around New Haven, and it was an easy trip down to NYC with his Nikkormat camera where he started to shoot bands at the fledgling Café Au-Go Go and Jimi Hendrix at Hunter College. In the spring of 1972, Jeffrey was living in Copenhagen.

At a time when Rock and Roll was still the “counter-culture” and anyone could bring a camera in to a concert Jeffrey captured The Who, Grateful Dead, Cream, Paul McCartney, and others.  Legends that continue to be the Soundtrack of our Lives.
