About Alvan
Alvan Meyerowitz began his photographic journey in New York City, migrated to the Woodstock area in the late 1960s before making his sojourn to San Francisco in 1971.
Once in San Francisco he quickly found himself in the good graces of legendary concert promoter Bill Graham, and on stage with the likes of Bob Dylan and Peter Frampton to name a few. When he wasn’t in the legendary concert halls of San Francisco, he was covering counter culture moments with iconic characters of the time.
